Job Description

Energetics is accepting applications for a part-time Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Transportation for immediate employment. This is an excellent opportunity to engage in transportation technology consulting. Candidates should be graduates in engineering or a scientific field, with significant utility, industry, or R&D experience preferred. Leadership experience in R&D is a plus. The role is remote, with some travel for technical meetings.

• Electric vehicle and charging station analytics
• Electric vehicle charging and rates
• Medium and heavy-duty vehicles and off-road equipment
• Batteries, electric motors, and power electronics
• Transportation System Analysis
• Consumer choice modeling
• Vehicle and system benefits analysis
• Connected and Automated Vehicles
• Vehicle sensors and autonomous tech
• Advanced combustion engines and fuels
• Material technologies for vehicles
• Transportation tech evaluation, demonstration, deployment
• Fleet management (conventional and alternative fuels)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned):

• Analyze transportation trends and technical factors
• Research transportation projects and policies
• Develop studies, reports, and summaries on transportation technology trends
• Conduct needs assessments and develop roadmaps for transportation tech development

Qualifications & Experience:

• Advanced degree in engineering or scientific field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 10 years of relevant transportation experience
• Strong understanding of transportation technologies and deployment challenges
• Program and project management experience is a plus

Compensation Range
