Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; in lieu of degree, 12+ years related Subcontracts Administration experience.
  • 8+ years of related Subcontracts Administration experience.
  • Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and SharePoint skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFAR, CAS, and subcontract procedures; strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate and negotiate independently and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, negotiates, and administers NDAs, TAs, Subcontracts and related agreements per client requirements and policies.
  • Participates in capture processes including pricing and scheduling strategies and coordinates communications among stakeholders.
  • Ensures timely processing of subcontract negotiations for fair and reasonable pricing with appropriate terms.
  • Maintains audit files and provides guidance and reports on subcontract requirements.
  • Acts as liaison between program team and subcontractor on contracting issues; escalates where needed.
  • Coordinates with program managers and matrixed organizations to fulfill subcontract requirements.
  • Provides guidance and workload leadership to less-experienced subcontract administrators.
  • Maintains current knowledge of subcontract procedures and can train others.

HOW A SUBCONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Develops, negotiates, and administers assigned NDAs, TAs, Subcontracts, and other related agreements in accordance with client requirements and GDIT policies and procedures
  • Actively participates in the capture process which includes pricing and scheduling strategy, communicating with the subcontractor teammates regarding data calls assessing the responses received, and coordinating communications between subcontract stakeholders
  • Ensures timely processing of subcontract negotiations for fair and reasonable pricing as well as terms and conditions with assistance from management and input from relevant stakeholders
  • Creates and maintains compliant audit files in accordance with customer requirements and GDIT policies and procedures
  • Provides advice and interpretation of subcontract requirements and generates reports for stakeholders as required
  • Serves as a liaison facilitator between the program team and the subcontractor regarding contracting issues, escalating potential issues to management
  • Coordinates with program managers and all matrixed organizations to ensure subcontract requirements are fulfilled
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced subcontract administrators
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant subcontract procedures and practices and may provide guidance and/or task leadership to less-experienced subcontract administrators
  • Initiates and maintains an extensive network of communication with both internal and external customers
  • Participates in and/or manages special projects as required
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, 12+ years of related Subcontracts Administration experience required.
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of related Subcontracts Administration experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Advanced skill level with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and SharePoint
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in subcontract administration. Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned subcontracts, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS. Polished administrative and organizational skills. Highly effective communication skills. Ability to operate and negotiate independently. Ability to apply critical thinking and creative solutioning skills to navigate high priority and urgent needs. Ability to develop and train more junior employees on policies, procedures, processes, best practices, and overseeing communications and workload. Experience in developing effective research and presentation techniques at the senior leadership and Executive levels. Effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to suggest and create forward-thinking solutions to mitigate risk, increase efficiency, and contribute to the company’s bottom line.

Salary and Compensation

The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $110,400. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
