Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL seeks a Subcontracts Manager to lead NGMS subcontracting on the CPS program, overseeing cost, schedule and technical performance while defining work scope and coordinating with SPMs, technical leads and SCA.

This position is specifically for the management of NGMS on the CPS program. Responsibilities include overall subcontract management of NGMS cost, technical, and schedule for production, ensure work scope is defined and executed on the contract. Coordinate on a daily basis with the SPMs, technical leads, and SCA. Responsible for the management of supplier cost, schedule and technical performance on moderate-to-high-risk, modified Commercial Off The Shelf, performance specification and complex build-to-print subcontracts for commercial, DOD and international programs. Leads multifunctional subcontract management teams. Holds procurement delegation and signs supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority. Leads the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontract systems in support of development, production and global sustainment primes with multiple contract types. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions including price, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts and required change activity.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to lead activities to execute Supply Chain subcontracts and sourcing activities in an executing capacity as a Purchasing agent/Buyer/Subcontract Administrator/Manager.
• Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures associated with FAR / DFAR requirements.
• Working knowledge of standard contract types.
• Experience leading subcontract management team
• Experience managing supplier relationships and cross functional teams.
• Strong work ethic, good communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated communication, negotiation, presentation and documentation skills.
• Experience solving complex problems

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $100200.00 - $186200.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
