Job summary

New-Leader-Manufacturing in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Subassembly Assembler to efficiently produce quality assemblies in gear case, spinners, and final subassemblies.

You will read prints, use measured data, and perform inspections while keeping tools and workspace in good condition; 0-2 years experience preferred; basic computer skills and ability to operate hand tools are required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience; previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required; experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Good math skills; able to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to read a tape measure up to 1/32”.
• Experience with hand tools including power tools such as impact drivers and drills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies assembly by visual inspection and measurements specified on prints/procedures.
• Completes work assignments within standard guidelines of time and quality.
• Performs quality checks on work completed.
• Assembles mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Reads prints and assembles parts accordingly.
• Assists with training of others as needed.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly; reports non-conformities until rectified.
• Demonstrates good attendance and reliability.
• Completes goals/projects on time or ahead of schedule.
• Responds to work assignments cooperatively and remains available.
• Follows through and meets commitments; acts as a resource to peers.
• Follows safety procedures and SAFESTART concepts.
