Job summary

Miller Subaru seeks a Service Advisor to join its longstanding, family-owned dealership. The right candidate will greet customers, assess vehicle service needs, and advise on applicable services and parts while communicating estimated costs and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers promptly in a professional and courteous manner.
• Inspect vehicles at check-in and reference service history to identify needs.
• Promote services, parts and accessories with clear cost estimates and authorization.
• Provide accurate time/cost estimates and obtain customer approvals.
• Track service progress and obtain approvals for changes
• Handle warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines.
• Confirm appointments, follow up post-repair, and communicate results to customers.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal automobile repair laws and consumer protection.

Miller Subaru is looking for a Service Advisor to join our family-owned automotive dealership that has been serving our neighbours and community for over 100 years. We are looking for a highly motivated growth-driven individual to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate and includes opportunity for growth and long term success.

You Will:

• Greet service customers promptly in a professional and courteous manner
• Inspect vehicles at check in and refer to service history to accurately identify and verify customer’s service needs
• Promote the sales of appropriate services parts and accessories by thoroughly understanding the product and associated service requirements
• Provide accurate cost and time of completion estimates for the services recommended communicate and get proper authorization from customers
• Check on progress of services to vehicles throughout the day and contact customer to communicate and receive approval regarding any changes in the cost-estimate promised time of delivery or recommended services
• Administer new and used vehicle warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer warranty guidelines
• Confirm service appointments by telephone the day before the customer is scheduled to arrive and conduct post-repair follow up
• Inspect vehicles prior to each customer delivery to ensure vehicle services and/or repairs are performed correctly and communicate the results with the customer
• Meet requirements of the state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection

You Have:

• Two or more years of previous experience as a service advisor
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license
• Ability to work well in a process driven environment
• Outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written
• Ability to work: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM and some Saturdays are required
