Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Subacute unit and assist with holistic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in a busy hospital setting.

Requirements include CA CNA certification, HeartSaver AED, and Kaweah Health crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current CA Certified Nursing Assistant certification
• HeartSaver AED
• Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Reports any variance in the patient's condition, to licensed staff.
• Answers patient call lights within two minutes as assigned.
• Greets patient and family members in friendly professional manner and assists patient with needs.
• Is an active participant in achieving quality patient care.
• Maintains confidentiality with all patient care issues.
• Complies with current policies and procedures including safety and infection control; keeps certifications current.
• Assists Nursing staff in performing tasks as delegated by the RN.
• Provides for toilet needs and assists with activities of daily living.
• Collects and records intake/output, weight, height, and vital signs as delegated by the RN.
• Documents all care provided in the EMR as soon after care occurs as possible.
