Job Summary

The Substitute Custodian supports building cleanliness and safety by performing custodial duties to ensure school facilities are clean, safe, and orderly, enabling effective teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect various areas.
• Refill hygiene supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling.
• Secure buildings and ensure equipment is off as needed.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for events.
• Respond to spills, accidents, or weather debris.
• Operate custodial equipment safely.
• Follow safety protocols and report issues.
• Communicate professionally with staff, students, and the public.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold district standards.
