Job summary

EKFB is seeking a Sub Agent with extensive earthworks experience to join the project in the Greatworth to Southam area. You will assist with construction strategy, attend kick-off meetings, and manage documentation including Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, and construction programmes.

You will coordinate with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials, oversee the site engineering team, and help with financial forecasting and cost control while

Qualifications

  • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
  • Must have extensive experience in Earthworks techniques.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance and geotechnical management in preferred.
  • Good team skills.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Assist with construction strategy including kick-off meetings and pre-commencement docs.
  • Prepare methods, environmental and quality plans, construction programmes and procurement schedules.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials and temporary works with the Agent and Foreman.
  • Support cost control, progress reporting, and site measurements.
  • Ensure works comply with contract requirements and SHEQ standards.

About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We are seeking to recruit a Sub Agent with extensive experience in earthworks to join our team in the Greatworth to Southam Area.

As a Sub Agent you will need to assist with the construction strategy, this includes kick-off meetings, pre-commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules.

This position will liaise with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget. The Sub Agent will also need to manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers. Assisting with the co-ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) is a key part of this role.

This position will assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.
