Job summary

Colonial Care Rehab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with SUBACUTE experience to join our Nursing team on the PM shift. You will provide personal care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, assist with activities of daily living, document rounds, and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.

This role requires a current CNA certificate, at least 1 year of sub-acute experience, a high school diploma, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with a CNA program completion.
• Minimum 1 year of Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• COVID-19 vaccination including boosters.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift and move patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation and outings.
• Keep the unit organized and running smoothly.
• Answer call lights and meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary.
• Perform rounds and report changes to the nurse.
• Provide companionship and excellent care.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritize activities based on care needs.
• Assist with transfers and mobility as needed.
• Transport residents to dining area for meals and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Other duties as assigned.
