Job summary

Western Convalescent Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Sub-Acute experience to join our Nursing team in Los Angeles. The role is full-time on all shifts (NOC, AM, PM) and requires an active CNA license, at least 1 year in sub-acute settings, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Vaccination against COVID-19 (including boosters) is required, along with strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification and completion of a CNA program.
• Minimum 1 year Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vaccination against COVID-19 including boosters.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation).
• Keep unit organized and running smoothly.
• Answer call lights and respond to resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics during transfers.
• Perform rounds and report changes to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and quality care to residents.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritize activities based on care needs.
• Assist with transfers and mobility.
• Transport residents to dining and activities.
