Job summary

OnShift, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with SUBACUTE experience for the Whittier, CA location. This full-time role covers AM and PM shifts and requires active CNA certification and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living, documenting care, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. English proficiency and COVID vaccination are required.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with successful completion of a CNA program.
• Minimum one year of Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster(s).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift/move patients or stand long periods.
• Compassion toward residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse.
• Assisting with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings.
• Maintaining organizational skills to keep the unit running smoothly.
• Answering call lights to determine and meet resident needs.
• Using proper body mechanics when necessary.
• Performing and documenting rounds of patients and reporting changes.
• Providing companionship and excellent care to patients.
• Maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritizing patient/resident activities based on current care needs.
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, chair, etc.
• Transporting residents to dining area for meals and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Other duties as assigned.
