Opportunity Resources, Inc. is seeking a reliable Residential Substitute to support adults with disabilities in their day-to-day living. You will assist with habilitation, community inclusion, meal prep, and health and safety tasks, while documenting observations for supervisors.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and, ideally, prior experience with individuals with disabilities. A Montana driver's license and a safe driving record are also required; training will be provided

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Must have or obtain a Montana driver's license, have an acceptable driving record, be insurable and present proof of private auto insurance in compliance with Montana State law within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct support and supervision to individuals.
  • Maintains the safety and cleanliness of inside and outside of home/apartment.
  • Observes and reports health and medical needs to supervisors.
  • Assists individuals in outings, shopping, and community integration.
  • Assists with menu planning, shopping, and meal prep.
  • Documents in writing and reports suspected incidents of abuse, exploitation, and neglect to APS and supervisors.
  • Writes incident reports for events affecting health and safety.
  • May implement training and service objectives as targeted by individualized service plans.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with individuals, co-workers, parents, agencies, and the public.
  • Maintains professional boundaries and uses communication to participate as a team member.

Evenings, Overnights & Weekend hours available. $17.00/hr.**RESIDENTIAL SUBSTITUTE****DEFINITION:** A qualified individual responsible for supporting individuals with disabilities in their day-to-day living needs, including: habilitation, building community and family/friends supports, supervision, health and safety, and providing choices to enhance their quality of life.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** **(Essential job functions in bold)**1. 1. **Provides direct support and supervision to individuals.** 2. **Maintains the safety and cleanliness of inside and outside of home/apartment.** 3. **Observes and reports all health and medical needs of the individuals to their supervisors and keeps parties informed of the individual's wellbeing.** 4. Assists individuals in arranging outings, in making purchases, and providing opportunities for community integration and inclusion. 5. Assists individuals in menu planning, shopping, preparation of meals and cleanup. 6. **Documents in writing and reports suspected incidents of abuse, exploitation, and neglect to APS, the Director of Services and other agencies and individuals.** 7. **Writes incident reports for events that affect the health and safety of individuals.** 8. **May implement training and service objectives as targeted by individualized service plans.** 9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.**GENERAL**:1. **Maintain appropriate attendence.**2. **Adheres to corporate policies and procedures.**3. **Embraces and promotes established corporate culture and values.**4. **Maintains required certifications.**5. **Meet annual training requirements. Attends all mandatory orientation and training activities, scheduled staff meetings and in-service/training as requested by Supervisor.**6. **Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with individuals, co-workers, parents, angencies, and the public.**7. Maintain professional and appropriate boundries.8. **Uses communication skills to participate effectively as a team member.**9. Uses equipment and supplies efficiently and informs Supervisor of shortages/needs.10. Ducuments accurately work performance on Paycom and submit in a timely manner to Supervisor for approval.11. Documents in Data Management Systems accurately and in a timely manner.12. **Safeguards and keeps confidential all private and personal information reguarding individuals with disabilities received in the course of their employment by the corporation.**13. **Practice safe work habits and follow all safety regulations and company procedures.**14. **Maintain strict confidentiality.**## Sub**Qualifications**:* High School diploma or equivalent and prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.* No record of Abuse/Neglect or exploitation of others.* Must have or obtain a valid Montana driver's license, have an acceptable driving record, be insurable and present proof of private auto insurance in compliance with Montana State law within 1 month of hire.* Complete all required trainings within 30 days of hire.**Special Conditions**:* Physical effort is required to perform the following: lift or physically assist individuals in daily activities; restrain individuals (following our procedures); carry supplies; perform household cleaning and move furniture. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. In addition, standing, walking and bending are required. Both indoor and outdoor activities are required.* Exposure to unpleasant sights, sounds or odors and physical aggression may be encountered.* Exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions.* Scheduling requires flexibility, e.g. Overnights, weekends, change in schedule, additional hours.
