What You'll Do

1. You will learn how to grow the business and control expenses by observing stylists and managers.
2. Greeting customers and answering the phone, with your smile being your logo.
3. Keeping the salon clean and following safety standards, which is necessary work even if not glamorous.

As a stylist-in-training, you may be eligible for a promotion to stylist once you receive your license. Promotion is not automatic; you must earn it.

Promotion Criteria:

1. Possess a valid license in your state.
2. Perform duties allowed by your license, including cutting, styling, coloring, waxing treatments, washing, and perming hair, with or without accommodations.
3. Demonstrate honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect in line with Regis values.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain necessary licenses within 90 days of hire.
• Good judgment and time management skills, and desire to work in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication skills with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Technical proficiency with point-of-sale systems and data entry.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly, and 10-25 lbs occasionally.
• Stand for most of the day.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Availability for mandatory meetings and training, including overnight travel.
