Job summary

Nashville State Community College is seeking Temporary Supplemental Instruction Leaders across all campuses to assist students in targeted courses through structured study sessions. You will plan and facilitate collaborative learning under the supervision of the Learning Center Coordinator.

Responsibilities include attending lectures, preparing lesson plans, submitting materials for approval, and tracking attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Nashville State student with 15 credits completed and a 2.5 GPA in college-level courses.
• Must have earned at least a B in MATH 1000, MATH 1010, or MATH 1530.
• Must have access to a reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Attend SI sessions and course lectures, take notes, and model proper academic attitudes.
• Create and submit lesson plans and materials for SI sessions for approval.
• Submit attendance records and time sheets, and participate in staff trainings.
• Hold additional SI sessions up to four times per semester and meet with faculty as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with instructors and refer students to campus services.
