Job summary

Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee, seeks a Supplemental Instruction Leader to run SI sessions and support student learning. This on-site role supports group tutoring, mentoring, and skill-building within the Tutoring and Learning Center.

You will engage with students, plan activities, and maintain records for ongoing assessment. Required to attend payer training, maintain sessions, and help foster a college-going culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be a current college student.
• Must have earned an A in the relevant course being tutored.
• Must be available to work at least 8 hours per week.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct small-group tutoring sessions to support student understanding.
• Attend mandatory SI Leader training at the start of each semester.
• Plan and lead two weekly SI group study sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions.
• Attend weekly lecture and lab sessions as required.
• Foster a safe, supportive learning environment and mentor students.
