Study Abroad Advising & Recruitment duties:

• Work closely with Study Abroad enrollment management team toactively recruit study abroad participants and accelerate theirapplication completion.
• Advise about assigned MU-approved study abroad programs inassigned regional locations.
• Work with assigned academic departments to identify and promotespecific study abroad opportunities for students in these majors.Provide initial study abroad advising for students in theirassigned majors.
• Provide individual and group advising for students about academicand personal goals, program selection, the application process,policies and procedures, finances, cultural adaptation and healthand safety issues.
• Develop budgets for assigned MU study abroad programs. Coordinatesadmissions process for all assigned study abroad programs.
• Advise students about regulations for obtaining a student visa andassist students with obtaining necessary official documentation, asneeded.
• Conduct information sessions, orientations and post-programdebriefings.
• Work cooperatively with faculty and other administrativeoffices/units on campus.
• Represent MU to U.S. and overseas colleagues for assigned MU studyabroad programs.
• Provide administrative support to Study Abroad Coordinators forfaculty-led programs.
• All other duties as assigned.

8 am - 5 pm, M-F

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 hourly

Grade: GGS-7
