Job summary

Beast Industries in Greenville, NC, is seeking a Studio Technology Engineer to join our IT and studio production teams. You will design and deploy on-set networks, manage live streams, and support production technology from planning to handoff.

The role blends engineering-grade IT operations with production-awareness, requiring hands-on set experience, security-first practices, and the ability to automate workflows with AI and scripting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hands-on IT, systems, or solutions engineering in a fast-moving environment.
• Real production or live-event experience (video production, broadcast, live streaming, staging, or live events).
• Solid networking chops for temporary networks (Wi‑Fi, VLANs, firewalls, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to use AI agents or automation platforms to build workflows or tools.
• Organizing and documenting requirements; communicating clearly with non-technical creatives under stress.
• Strong security mindset: data security and access control by default.

Responsibilities

• Support productions on the ground: design, deploy, and tear down networks for shoots and events.
• Scope production technology projects: translate concepts into technical requirements, timelines, and budgets; write scoping docs.
• Coordinate work across IT and production teams; ensure clean handoffs and documentation.
• Own IT operations across identity/access, endpoint management, network infrastructure, and system integrations.
• Use AI as a power tool: build automations, contribute to AI-assisted helpdesk, and prototype internal tools.
