BODYROK is seeking a Studio and Operations Manager to oversee multiple Pilates studio operations, drive growth, and optimize marketing effectiveness across the portfolio.

You will manage daily operations, lead the marketing strategy, mentor instructors, and ensure exceptional client experiences. The role emphasizes revenue growth, class attendance, and staff development in a dynamic wellness environment.

Qualifications

  • Flexible and open availability with weekends and holidays required.
  • Must be able to work on-site and travel to studios at least 75% of the week; 25% remote.
  • Full-time exempt role with an expected 40 hours per week (including classes coached).
  • Multi-unit management experience (3–5 years preferred).
  • People management experience in fitness, retail, or hospitality (3–5 years preferred).
  • Group fitness instruction, personal training, or athletic training experience (2 years preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in G‑Suite and MS Office (Excel and Google Sheets).
  • Ability to lift/carry at least 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee training and recruiting initiatives with lead instructors; mentor and develop staff.
  • Manage day-to-day studio operations; ensure classes run on schedule.
  • Coordinate front desk operations, bookings, client check-ins, and studio systems.
  • Lead marketing initiatives: local campaigns, social media, events, promotions.
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses and community groups; manage events.
  • Support email marketing campaigns and monitor online presence.
  • Drive membership growth and retention through programs and campaigns.
  • Ensure a welcoming, professional client experience and handle feedback.
  • Monitor studio revenue, expenses, and profitability; assist budgeting and reporting.
  • Track KPIs: membership, attendance, revenue, and lead conversion.
  • Provide administrative and technical support; cover studio operations as needed.

A Studio Operations Manager for a Pilates studio oversees the daily operations of the studio portfolio while driving growth, marketing effectiveness, and overall studio success.

This role combines operational management, client experience oversight, and strategic marketing initiatives to ensure the assigned portfolio runs smoothly. Responsible for studio market positioning for existing and new studios in the pipeline.

Role Overview

The Studio and Operations Manager ensure smooth studio operations, manages marketing initiatives, and helps grow membership and class attendance. The role focuses on maintaining high service standards, optimizing studio performance, and implementing strategies that increase revenue and client retention.

Location: South and East Bay Portfolio

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 (Full time)

Bonus: 15% annually

Key Responsibilities
Training
  • Oversee training and recruiting initiatives alongside lead instructors. Mentor and develop lead instructors.
  • Serve as a studio coach when needed and maintain a schedule with a minimum of 16 classes per month. Any class above 16 will be paid on an hourly basis based on current salary.
Daily Operations Management
  • Oversee day‑to‑day studio operations, ensuring classes run smoothly and on schedule.
  • Oversee alongside the lead instructors the front desk operations, bookings, client check‑ins, and studio systems.
  • Manage lead instructors studio cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and safety standards, and studio audits; provide feedback when necessary.
  • Monitor class capacity and scheduling to maximize utilization.
  • Handle client issues, feedback, and service recovery when needed.
Staff Coordination
  • Support alongside lead instructors the hiring, onboarding, and training of instructors and front desk staff.
  • Ensure staff follow studio policies, brand standards, and service expectations.
  • Foster a positive team culture and maintain clear communication across staff.
Marketing Efforts
Marketing Strategy Implementation
  • Execute local marketing initiatives to increase membership and class bookings.
  • Collaborate with management on marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Manage studio social media presence, community engagement, and brand messaging.
Lead Generation & Community Outreach
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses, wellness professionals, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate promotional events, open houses, and workshops.
  • Manage referral programs and membership promotions.
Digital Marketing Support
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotional messaging.
  • Monitor website bookings and online presence across platforms such as Google and social media.
  • Track marketing performance and report on campaign results.
Studio Success & Performance
Membership Growth
  • Drive membership sales and retention strategies.
  • Track key metrics such as class attendance, membership renewals, and client acquisition.
  • Identify opportunities to increase client lifetime value.
Client Experience
  • Ensure a welcoming, professional environment for all clients.
  • Develop initiatives to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Implement feedback systems and continuously improve client experience.
Financial & Performance Monitoring
  • Monitor studio revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics.
  • Support budgeting and financial reporting processes.
  • Identify operational efficiencies that improve studio performance.
