Job summary

Mosaic Design Labs in West Berkeley, CA is seeking a part-time Lab Operations Assistant to keep our lab stocked and running on-site. You would manage deliveries, restock supplies, and help with shipments and listings for surplus equipment.

The role emphasizes reliability, organization, and careful handling of equipment, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Starts with a paid trial and offers potential expansion as the project portfolio grows.

Responsibilities

• A weekly walk from our checklist: restock snacks and supplies, trash and cardboard, mail, plants, putting things away.
• Receive deliveries and put parts where they belong.
• List surplus equipment on eBay and Craigslist (our AI tools help), answer buyer questions, and pack and ship sales.
• Occasional runs to our storage units in Richmond and Berkeley. We have a utility trailer; a vehicle with a hitch is a big plus.

Keep the lab stocked and running, put deliveries away, and list and ship surplus equipment.

Hours 8 hours a week. One weekday preferred; a weekend day or two 4-hour blocks also work.

Location West Berkeley, CA (on site)
