Job summary

Soundspace HQ in Indianapolis seeks a Studio Manager & Lead Engineer to oversee our on-site recording studio. You will lead sessions, manage equipment and staff, and drive profitability while maintaining top-tier sonic quality.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years as a recording engineer, strong leadership, and business acumen. Bachelor's in Music Technology preferred; flexible hours including evenings/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Recording Studio Engineer or equivalent.
• Strong entrepreneurial and business management skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the recording studio, including equipment maintenance, scheduling, and session management.
• Engineer and produce music sessions with high professionalism and technical acumen.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize studio usage and profitability.
• Train and supervise studio staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Build and maintain relationships with artists, producers, and industry figures.
• Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation for studio operations.
• Innovate and implement new services to keep the studio competitive.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
