Sony Music Entertainment's 5020 Studios Los Angeles is seeking a Studio Manager who will lead day-to-day studio operations, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and ensure an exceptional client experience for artists, producers, and partners.

The role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of recording workflows, and the ability to balance hospitality with technical excellence in a fast-paced environment. On-site in Los Angeles with occasional nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in studio operations or production facilities.
• Proven leadership in scheduling, hiring, and coaching.
• Strong budget ownership and vendor management.
• Understanding of recording and production workflows.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily studio operations across rooms, lounges, and support spaces to ensure readiness.
• Own facility maintenance plans and coordinate vendors and staff.
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts (HVAC, cleaning, security, internet, building management).
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, security, and client-facing presentation standards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard studio engineering and support staff; build schedules aligned to bookings and events.
