Job description

Studio Manager

Basecamp Fitness Eastlake | El Paso, TX

About Us

At Basecamp Fitness, we believe fitness is about more than just a great workout. It's about the people, the connections, and the community we build along the way. Our 35-minute workouts bring people through the door, but it's the energy, encouragement, and sense of belonging that keep them coming back.

We're looking for a Studio Manager who shares that philosophy and is passionate about leading a team that makes every member feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated.

The Role

As a Studio Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall success of your studio, from daily operations and team development to membership growth and the member experience.

We're looking for a confident, hands-on leader who takes ownership, leads by example, and knows how to bring out the best in others. Someone who understands that a successful studio isn't built on numbers alone, but on the relationships, consistency, and culture behind them.

You’ll work closely with ownership to drive studio performance, develop a strong team, and create an environment where both members and employees feel connected, motivated, and proud to be part of Basecamp.

What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop Your Team
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing studio team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to help employees grow and succeed.
  • Set clear expectations, establish accountability, and lead regular team meetings and performance conversations.
  • Manage staff scheduling and ensure appropriate coverage for daily studio operations.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment where team members feel supported, valued, and motivated.
  • Lead by example through active involvement in studio operations and the member experience.
Drive Membership Growth & Sales
  • Take ownership of studio sales performance, membership growth, and retention goals.
  • Lead and support the team in executing effective sales processes, lead management, and daily outreach.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to drive results.
  • Support local marketing initiatives, community partnerships, and studio events that generate awareness and attract new members.
  • Coach team members on building relationships with prospective members and confidently communicating the value of Basecamp.
Create an Exceptional Member Experience
  • Set the standard for a welcoming, energetic, and community-focused studio environment.
  • Build genuine relationships with members and create opportunities for meaningful connection.
  • Ensure every member receives a consistent, high-quality experience from their first visit onward.
  • Address member questions, concerns, and feedback with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Collaborate with the team to strengthen member engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Help bring the Basecamp community to life through studio events, celebrations, and member recognition.
Own Studio Operations & Performance
  • Oversee daily studio operations to ensure an organized, efficient, and consistently positive experience.
  • Manage studio expenses, payroll, retail inventory, supplies, and facility needs.
  • Review studio performance reports, budgets, and financial results to identify opportunities and support profitability.
  • Maintain operational standards, brand consistency, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure studio equipment, facilities, and shared spaces are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
  • Communicate regularly with ownership regarding studio performance, team development, challenges, and opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
  • A natural leader who genuinely enjoys developing people and building strong teams.
  • Someone who leads with both accountability and empathy.
  • A people-first mindset with a passion for creating meaningful member experiences.
  • Strong sales instincts and the ability to motivate a team toward shared goals.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to take initiative and follow through.
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using technology, sales systems, and performance data to guide decisions.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to receive feedback, adapt, and continuously improve.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for fitness, wellness, and the Basecamp community.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of management experience required, including direct responsibility for hiring, training, coaching, and employee performance.
  • 3+ years of sales experience preferred, with demonstrated success meeting or exceeding performance goals.
  • Previous experience in boutique fitness, hospitality, retail, or another customer-focused environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets, payroll, expenses, or profit and loss (P&L) performance preferred.
  • Experience with lead generation, community outreach, and local marketing is a plus.
  • College degree or equivalent relevant professional experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of fitness, health, and wellness.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends based on studio needs.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available.
Why Basecamp?

Because it's never just been a workout.

We're proud of the community we've built, and we believe the people behind the front desk are just as important to that experience as the coaches on the floor.

If you're someone who loves bringing people together, takes pride in making others feel welcome, and wants to be part of something bigger than a typical fitness studio, we'd love to meet you.
