Job summary

Discover Strength is hiring a General Manager for a Bee Cave studio in the Austin area. The role is full-time, on-site, and involves leading a team of Exercise Physiologists, delivering world-class workouts, and driving local sales and marketing efforts.

You will spend 15-25 hours/week on the floor with clients, building a business from the ground up, and aligning with Discover Strength core values. Competitive salary and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Minimum three years' work experience.
• Minimum one year management experience preferred.
• Minimum one year sales experience contacting leads and executing local marketing preferred.
• Experience in health club, fitness, or exercise setting.
• Demonstrated leadership in personal training or strength and conditioning.
• Experience leading teams, including hiring, training, performance management, and fostering an inclusive work environment.
• Proven ability to develop and implement business strategies, drive growth, and manage change.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop a team of professional Exercise Physiologists.
• Create a culture of consistent delivery of world-class workouts.
• Drive sales by calling leads, executing local marketing tactics, and participating in business networking groups.
• Inspire your team with excellence in customer service.
• Deliver world-class workouts yourself as trainer on the floor.
• Manage the physical plant - be it plumbing or equipment repair.
