Job summary

Rivian's Vehicle Design Studio is seeking a Studio Engineer II to bridge creative ambition and engineering discipline. You will drive theme packaging feasibility and design and release components for Adventure Products, leveraging CATIA and Enovia workflows, including AI-assisted design.

You will join a collaborative team focused on emissions-free vehicles and cutting-edge workflows that push boundaries while maintaining rigorous engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automotive studio engineering, vehicle packaging, or component design & release.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, or related.
• GPA 3.5 or higher preferred.
• Proficient with CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE and PLM systems (Enovia).
• Knowledge of DFMEA and DVPR processes; DFMEA/DVPR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive theme packaging development and feasibility for interior and exterior Class 'A' surfaces.
• Own Adventure Products components from concept to production; design and release parts.
• Generate 3D concepts and 2D sections using CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE; SLA/SLS prototypes.
• Lead feasibility reviews and communicate requirements to Designers and Release Engineers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, homologation, and program timeline targets.
• Manage data structure and PLM in Enovia from concept to production support.
• Develop NUDDs, DFMEAs, and DVPRs to guide testing and root-cause analysis.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate problem-solving within policies.
