Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System is seeking a PRN Radiology Student X-ray Technician in Pryor, OK. You will work under supervision to perform diagnostic tests and patient care, operating imaging equipment and maintaining ALARA exposure standards.

The role supports the Radiology team and provides hands-on experience while completing a two-year Radiology Technology program. BLS is required within 14 days of hire, and ARRT eligibility is expected upon program completion.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program approved by the AMA Council.
• ARRT eligibility upon successful program completion.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• Competency in Radiography practice as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and patient care under supervision.
• Operate imaging equipment with guidance from a Radiology Technologist.
• Maintain exposure levels per ALARA standards.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Perform technical and clerical duties as delegated by Radiology leadership.

Join our team as a PRN, Radiology Student X-ray Technician in Pryor, OK.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision of the Radiologist and Radiology Manager, the X‑Ray Tech Student performs diagnostic tests, patient care, and selects appropriate technical factors to ensure proper diagnosis of patients.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment while under the direction of a Radiology Technologist.
• Maintain appropriate exposure levels according to ALARA standards.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Perform technical and clerical duties as delegated by the Radiology Manager and/or a Registered Radiology Technologist.

Qualifications

• Currently attending an Accredited two‑year Radiology Technology training program at a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.
• ARRT or ARRT Registry eligible (upon successful completion of Accredited two‑year Radiology Technology training program).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Competency in components of Radiography practice as appropriate.
