Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK seeks a day shift Radiology Tech to join the imaging team. You will perform diagnostic tests, operate X-ray equipment, and support intra-operative imaging while upholding ALARA standards.

The role requires an Associates degree in radiologic technology, ARRT(R) registry, and BLS within 14 days of hire. One year of X-ray tech experience is preferred; on-site collaboration with the Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited Radiology Program.
• ARRT (R) Registry.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• One year of X-Ray Tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic tests and selects appropriate technical factors to ensure proper diagnosis.
• Operates imaging equipment during intra-operative procedures including C-arm, O-arm, Mini C-arm, and portable X-ray unit.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray and fluoroscopy.
• Selects exposure factors to produce high-quality images while maintaining ALARA standards.
• Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams.
• Cleans and maintains imaging equipment.
• Protects patients and personnel from radiation hazards.
• Maintains daily log books and records.
• Navigates the PACS system including review of images and uploading outside exams.
• Applies and maintains current knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices.
• Ensures imaging equipment is in proper working condition and reports issues to the radiology manager.

• Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital (TSSH) specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging and pain management. TSSH offers state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology. TSSH offers a variety of services, such as anesthesia, ear, nose & throat, general surgery, GYN, GYN/oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, radiology and spine care.
