Job summary

Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift Radiology Technician for a full-time role. You will perform diagnostic imaging, operate C-arm, O-arm, and other equipment, and ensure patient safety under ALARA guidelines.

Requirements include an associates degree in radiology, ARRT registry, and BLS within 14 days of hire; preferred one year of X-ray tech experience. The team uses PACS for image management and embraces a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiology from an accredited program.
• ARRT (R) Registry.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire and prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and select imaging factors to insure proper diagnosis.
• Operate imaging equipment during intra-operative procedures (C-arm, O-arm, Mini C-arm, portable x-ray).
• Position patients for diagnostic exams and prepare them for procedures.
• Maintain ALARA standards and produce high-quality images.
• Clean and maintain imaging equipment.
• Protect patients and personnel from radiation hazards.
• Maintain daily log books and imaging records.
• Navigate the PACS system and review/upload outside exams.
• Apply and maintain current knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices.
• Report issues to radiology manager.

• Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital (TSSH) specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging and pain management. TSSH offers state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology. TSSH offers a variety of services, such as anesthesia, ear, nose & throat, general surgery, GYN, GYN/oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, radiology and spine care.

• Performs diagnostic tests, patient care and selects appropriate technical factors to insure proper diagnosis of patients
• Operate imaging equipment during intra-operative procedures including C-arm, O-arm, Mini C-arm, and portable x-ray unit
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipmentincludingX-ray and fluoroscopy
• Selects appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality images while maintaining ALARA standards
• Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams
• Cleans and maintains imaging equipment
• Protects patients and personnel from radiation hazards
• Maintains required records such as daily log books
• Navigate the PACS systemincludingreview of images and uploading outside exams
• Apply and maintain current knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices
• Ensures imaging equipment is in proper working condition and reports issues to the radiology manager

Job Requirements:

• Associates degree from an accredited Radiology Program
• ARRT (R) Registry
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One year of X-Ray Tech experience
