The Office of Communications and Marketing within the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is seeking to hire a communications and marketing student writer. The student writer will assist with various writing projects for both digital and print platforms, including the Auburn Engineer Magazine, the Auburn Engineering Dean’s Report, newsletters, brochures, and other marketing pieces.

• Conduct interviews with engineering students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
• Write news and feature stories, Q&A and other content for print publications and the web.
• Assist with marketing and communication plans to promote the vision, mission, goals, and achievements of the College of Engineering.
• May assist with the website, photography, and videography depending on the student’s comfort level.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Expectation: Knowledge of writing skills.

Compensation and Work Hours

• Pay Rate: $11.00/hour
• Work Hours: 15‑20 per week
