Job summary

San Diego State University, Enrollment Services, Office of the Registrar, seeks a Student Workforce Coordinator to lead a team of student assistants providing frontline service to students, faculty, staff, and the public across campus channels.

You will recruit, train, schedule, monitor performance, and develop training materials while collaborating with registrar units to resolve inquiries and improve the student experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; ability to communicate clearly.
• Experience with office support technology systems.
• Thorough knowledge of and ability to operate in various organizational structures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop student assistants, building their customer service, critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional skills.
• Coordinate daily workforce operations, including scheduling, work assignments, service coverage, and staffing adjustments based on registration cycles and anticipated demand.
• Monitor student assistant performance and service trends to identify training needs, recurring questions, and opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Develop and maintain training materials, procedures, and knowledge resources to ensure consistent and accurate communication of policies and processes.
• Provide guidance on escalated or complex inquiries, determining appropriate resolutions or referrals while collaborating with Registrar functional areas.
