Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a Student Workforce Coordinator to lead a student employee team in the Office of the Registrar. You will recruit, train, coach, and coordinate student assistants who serve as the first contact for students, faculty, staff, and the public across in‑person, email, and phone channels.

You will manage staffing, anticipate demand, and design training that builds professional skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Experience managing student employee programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop student assistants.
• Coordinate daily workforce operations including scheduling and staffing adjustments.
• Monitor performance and service trends to identify training needs.
• Develop and maintain training materials, procedures, and knowledge resources.
• Provide guidance on escalated inquiries and coordinate with Registrar units.
