Black Hawk College in Illinois is seeking a student worker to support Hawk's Cupboard, the campus food pantry. You will help unload deliveries, pack groceries for drive-up events, stock shelves, and assist with pantry drives and on-campus outreach.
The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, flexible hours, and orientation with background checks. Current BHC students enrolled in 6+ credit hours and a 2.0 GPA are eligible. All majors welcome to apply.
The Federal Work Study Program provides jobs for students at Black Hawk College demonstrating financial need. Eligible students typically work between 6 - 15 hours per week.
BHC students who don't meet the above eligibility requirements, may be eligible for non-Work Study positions. These positions are subject to budget limitations/availability of funds and are not always available.
The Hawk's Cupboard is a food pantry to feed BHC students in need.
The Hawk's Cupboard stocks nonperishable food and toiletries. BHC is in partnership with River Bend Foodbank for food donations. Students can get food at any time or they can stop by outside Building 3 on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month (during designated times) and we will put bags of food in their car.

Anyone hired for Work Study positions at BHC will be required to complete an online employment application, a background check, and required paperwork with the Human Resources Department within 3 days of hire.

Work Study/Student Worker Employees are paid current IL minimum wage ($14.00 per hour.)
