Job Description
ELIGIBILITY:

Students must be Work Study Eligible (as determined by Financial Aid)

WORK SCHEDULE:

Flexible schedule between Monday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Works up to 19 hours per week.

DRESS CODE:

Business casual with appropriate coverage

POSITION PURPOSE/ROLE

Support the FVCC Food Pantry operations under the supervision of the Student Engagement Program Director.

POSITION DUTIES
  • Perform customer service by greeting clients
  • Process intake and distribution of pantry items
  • Stock food pantry
  • Maintain the organization and neatness of the food pantry
  • Assist with ordering food items for the pantry
  • Create, promote, and implement monthly events
  • Promote the food pantry on campus through various forms of media
  • Research and provide basic needs resources
  • May perform other duties as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to ensure and maintain client confidentiality and privacy;
  • Ability to provide customer service and interact pleasantly and professionally with clients and staff; and
  • Possess good organizational skills.

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES:
  • Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits for fall or spring semester to qualify for student employment.
  • Students may not work beyond 19 hours per week during semester.
  • Student workers shall be actively engaged; no use of cell phones (except in case of emergency) or social media.
  • Student workers shall demonstrate a commitment to the job with adherence to work schedule, effective communication/interpersonal skills, and quality customer service skills to be a representative of FVCC.
