Position Summary

The Game Day Ticket Sales Student Worker assists with ticketing operations for home athletic events. This position provides customer service to fans and guests while supporting ticket sales, ticket distribution, entry operations, and other game-day needs. Student workers are expected to represent the Athletics Department in a professional, friendly, and reliable manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sell tickets to fans and guests at designated ticket windows or sales locations. Process cashless ticket transactions using the department's ticketing and point-of-sale systems. Assist guests with mobile tickets, ticket access, and basic ticketing questions. Scan and validate tickets at venue entrances as assigned. Assist with will call, complimentary tickets, and credential distribution. Provide accurate information regarding ticket prices, seating locations, venue entrances, and general game-day procedures. Maintain accurate ticketing and sales records throughout assigned shifts. Assist with opening and closing ticket operations before and after events. Provide professional and courteous customer service to fans, students, donors, and other guests. Communicate ticketing issues or customer concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with crowd flow and entrance operations when needed. Follow all Athletics Department and University policies and procedures. Perform other game-day and ticket operations duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be a currently enrolled student in good standing. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with fans and guests. Dependable, punctual, and able to work with limited supervision. Comfortable using computers, tablets, scanners, and point-of-sale technology. Ability to accurately handle ticket transactions and basic recordkeeping. Previous customer service, retail, ticketing, or cash-handling experience preferred but not required.

Work Requirements

Must be available to work home athletic events, including nights and weekends. Must be able to arrive prior to event start times and remain through assigned post-event responsibilities. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions depending on the sport and assigned location. Must maintain a professional appearance and follow Athletics game-day expectations.

To qualify, students must: Be fully admitted to a graduate program (not provisional or non-degree) Be in good standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA Be enrolled in courses each term of the assistantship Meet specific credit hour and subject requirements for teaching or lab roles Non-native English speakers must demonstrate language proficiency Research assistants must complete Responsible Conduct in Research training Work up to 20 hours per week, depending on the appointment May have teaching or research assignments, or provide administrative support
