Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a Student Mentor to support the Wellness Center at Truman College, guiding students to mental health resources and referrals on campus. This role fosters connections between wellness staff and students and promotes access to essential supports.

You will assist with outreach, programming materials, and event coordination, while participating in ongoing training to better serve a diverse student body and reduce stigma around mental health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or actively pursuing GED.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of basic computer software programs and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Completes mandatory orientation on wellness topics, resources, and mental health awareness.
• Engages with students on campus to raise awareness of campus and community resources.
• Performs administrative tasks to support Wellness Center programming.
• Participates in ongoing training to improve understanding of mental health services and disparities.
