Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing in Oshkosh, WI is hiring for Welder I on 2nd shift. You will assemble parts, set up for welding, drill, grind, and weld sheet metal, reading blueprints and schematics, while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Ideal candidates have welding experience and can obtain a Pierce Welding Certification. Preferred: an Associates degree in welding or Certified Welder, plus blueprint reading skills.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience.
• Ability to obtain a certificate in Welding with Pierce Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts for welding and read blueprints or diagrams.
• Weld sheet metal and assemble parts as required.
• Use hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Lift/move parts weighing up to 80 pounds and operate a crane/hoist as needed.
• Follow work orders, diagrams, and checklists to complete tasks.
