Job summary

MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS seeks a Web Content Editing & Development Student Assistant to support the Marketing Communications team with accurate, accessible, and SEO-friendly content on the university website. You will perform routine WordPress updates, QA, SEO enhancements, and accessibility improvements.

Working closely with the Web Manager and Marketing Communications team, you will gain hands-on experience in WordPress, SEO, digital accessibility, and web governance while

Qualifications

Current MNU student in good academic and disciplinary standing.
Strong written communication, grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies and errors.
Basic familiarity with websites and content management systems; WordPress preferred but not required.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

Edit and maintain website content within WordPress.
Review and update webpage content, including titles, headings, links, and other elements.
Follow established standards for content and formatting and publish updates.
Document completed updates and maintain records of work.
Flag content or accessibility issues for Web Manager review.
