Job summary

The University of Michigan-Flint is seeking an undergraduate student to join the Educational Opportunity Initiatives (EOI) team as a Video Producer and Editor. You will edit and produce videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, support online video programming, and coordinate shoots for 1st Gen and FYE students, assisting EOI Scholars through a grant-funded program.

This is a one-semester term with potential renewal, onsite at UM-Flint, with possible work-study eligibility; we value a professional

Qualifications

Currently enrolled at UM-Flint during the semester employed.
Adequate computer and writing skills.
Must exercise a strengths-based approach in being sensitive, respectful, and understanding of disadvantaged students.
Ability to think critically and solve problems swiftly and responsibly.
Maintain a professional appearance and character.
Proven ability to edit and produce videos.

Responsibilities

Communications/Marketing: Capture programming history to market events online and in print form. Assist with the development of an overarching marketing and communications strategy for event promotion and closeouts.
Outreach: Represent the program at internal and external spaces to provide awareness of the mission, programs, and goals. Serve as a liaison with community partners/campus departments.
Video Editing and Production: Record video in the EOI Studio and prepare content for distribution using Adobe Premiere Pro.
