Job summary

The University of Michigan-Flint invites applications from undergraduate students enrolled for Fall 2026 to join Educational Opportunity Initiatives as a student Video Producer and Editor.

You will edit and produce videos with Adobe Premiere Pro, help improve online video programming, coordinate shoots documenting first-generation and first-year students, and support EOI Scholars through a comprehensive video production program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at UM-Flint during the semester(s) employed.
• Adequate computer and writing skills.
• Must exercise a strengths-based approach in being sensitive, respectful, and understanding of the needs of economically and academically disadvantaged students.
• Ability to think critically and problem solve swiftly and responsibly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and character.
• Proven ability to edit and produce videos.
• Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software.

Responsibilities

• Communications/Marketing: Capture programming history and assist with marketing strategy for events.
• Outreach: Represent the program at community spaces and liaise with partners.
• Video Editing and Production: Record video in the EOI Studio and prepare content for distribution using Premiere Pro.
