Qualifications

• Working understanding of video editing tools: Adobe Rush, Audition, Animate, After Effects, and Premiere.

Responsibilities

• Organize and upload videos on the Digital Asset Management platform (Zenfolio).
• Assist with developing and working with the College Creative Briefs.
• Assist with video production for college videos.
• Record and edit student voices and implement in video.
• Follow provided instructions in established processes to complete work.
• Potential to work with a mirrorless camera to capture RAW videos and re-touching before publishing with supervision.

Work Hours:

10-15 summer hours per week

Pay:

Start at $15 per hour commensurate with experience

Job Summary/Basic Function:

MSU College of Engineering's Marketing and Communications team is looking to hire a Student Video Production Assistant for Summer 2025, with the potential to extend to the academic year. This student position reports to the Creative Service Manager for video production duties and oversight. They will support the College with videography, voice editing, video production, digital asset management organization and other department needs.

Job Task:

• Organize and upload videos on the Digital Asset Management platform (Zenfolio)
• Assist with developing and working with the College Creative Briefs
• Assist with Video production for college videos
• Record and edit student voices and implement in video
• Follow provided instructions in established processes to complete work
• Potential to work with a mirrorless camera to capture RAW videos and re-touching before publishing with supervision, as assigned
• Assist with office duties and special projects, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled as a student
• Must have a working understanding or willingness to learn digital accessibility
• Must have a working understanding or willingness to learn Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other platforms
• Working understanding on video skills, Adobe Rush, Audition, Animate, After Effects, and Premiere.
