Job summary

Nash County Public Schools NCPS Central Office - Nashville, North Carolina is seeking a part-time Tutor to support students who are struggling in reading and math. Under the supervision of the Principal and teachers, you will deliver targeted instructional and support services during the school term.

Responsibilities include assisting students, communicating with teachers and parents, preparing logs and reports, and participating in staff development to improve job skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school with some related post-secondary training and/or work experience.
• Ability to work with teachers, students and parents in a supportive tutoring role.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a school team.

Responsibilities

• Tutor selected group of students showing deficiencies in reading or math.
• Provide instructional and support services under supervision.
• Maintain logs, schedules, and reports as required.
• Participate in staff development activities to improve job skills.
