Job summary

Clatskanie School District 6-J seeks a Student Transporter to operate Type 10/Type 20 vehicles, moving students safely to and from placements on a temporary basis. The role is 4.5 hours per day with a two-hour morning and 2.5-hour afternoon split, reporting to the Transportation Supervisor.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid Oregon driver license, First Aid certification, and Type 10/20 certification, plus solid English communication and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Proficient English communication, both oral and written.
• Proficient with computer and internet-based applications, including email and district systems.
• Hold valid Oregon Driver's License.
• First Aid Certification.
• Type 10 or Type 20 Certification.
• Background check / fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Transport students in District Type 10-20 vehicle.
• Manage student behavior during transport.
• Coordinate with staff to address concerns.
• Ensure student safety in and around vehicles.
• Develop and maintain vehicle evacuation plans and drills.
• Perform pre-trip inspections.
• Clean District vehicles inside and out.
• Report vehicle accidents and concerns promptly.
