Job summary

Pocatello/Chubbuck School District No seeks a Student Transportation Supervisor to oversee bus drivers and attendants. You will communicate district policies, design training for safe student transport, and support staff by setting goals and following up to enhance job satisfaction.

The role requires Idaho bus driver's certification or ability to obtain it within 70 days, strong supervisory and scheduling skills, and a professional demeanor for public interactions.

Qualifications

• Direct supervisor experience and scheduling experience.
• Proficient keyboarding and general software operation.
• Must be certified to drive school buses in Idaho or able to obtain certification within 70 days.
• Extensive knowledge of Idaho school bus driving rules and regulations.
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle difficult public situations.
• State Department of Education bus driver training certification is required.
• Must pass a Department of Transportation medical exam and initial drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to work eight hours per day in an exempt salaried position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support bus drivers and attendants by communicating policies and procedures.
• Structure and implement training to ensure safe transport of students to and from school.
• Set performance goals for drivers/attendants and monitor progress.
• Implement the Student Transportation Discipline Program and assist in behavior management.
