Job summary

The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District No. 25 seeks a Student Transportation Supervisor to oversee bus drivers and attendants in the Transportation Department. You will design and implement training to ensure safe transporting of students to and from school, and support staff by setting performance goals and monitoring outcomes.

The role requires supervising skills, routing and scheduling experience, and adherence to Idaho bus regulations. Exempt salaried position with eight-hour days.

Qualifications

• Direct supervisor experience in a transportation or school setting.
• Scheduling experience and proficient keyboarding skills.
• Must be certified to drive a school bus in Idaho or able to complete within 70 days after employment.
• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of Idaho school bus regulations.
• Must pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support bus drivers and attendants by communicating policies and procedures.
• Structure the training program to provide knowledge and skills for safe student transport.
• Set performance goals and follow up to improve job satisfaction and effectiveness.
• Implement the Student Transportation Discipline Program to support drivers in managing student conduct.
