Qualifications

• Experience as a school bus driver or in student transportation.

• Valid CDL, Class B or higher, with P and School Bus endorsements.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Criminal Background Clearance.
• Drug and Alcohol Testing Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training for driver applicants and current drivers.
• Instruct on school bus operation, safety procedures, and state regulations.
• Evaluate driver applicants and current drivers for certification requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate training, testing, and certification activities.
• Maintain training and certification records and related documentation.
• Monitor licenses, training requirements, and compliance records.
• Review bus footage to identify training needs and safety improvements.
• Prepare materials and reports for training and certification.
• Communicate rules and expectations to drivers and applicants.
• Perform driver duties as needed to support transportation operations.
