Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to secure wheelchairs and assist loading/unloading as directed by the driver.
• Willingness to obtain CDL endorsements for student transport.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions from the school bus driver pertaining to daily procedures and help as needed.
• Assists in loading and unloading of passengers and securing wheelchairs.
• Secure wheelchairs to meet safety standards and check straps and trays.
• Check on riders and monitor them during transport.
• Assist in seating preschoolers and ensuring seat belts are properly worn.
• Supervise students at bus stops and during travel.
• Assist in bus fueling and routine maintenance checks.
• Keep the bus clean inside and outside and address spills.
