Qualifications

• Experience with school transportation preferred.
• Must pass a criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Assesses potential emergency situations on the bus/van and loading/unloading zones.
• Assists students with safe loading and unloading.
• Instructs students regarding rules and regulations.
• Monitors students for unruly or disruptive behavior and inappropriate language.
• Monitors students with special needs until released to a teacher or parent.
• Prepares incident reports and behavior documentation.
• Reports observations/incidents including discipline or accidents.
• Secures students and equipment with restraints and assistive devices as needed.
• Assists other transportation personnel as needed.
