Job summary

Casa Grande Elementary School District Transportation in Casa Grande, AZ, is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and special trips.

Starting immediately, it is a full-time position with benefits, averaging 25–40 hours per week at approximately $19.40 per hour, with the district providing driving training.

Qualifications include ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English, and compliance with drug testing and background checks.

Qualifications

• Alcohol and drug testing is required for employment.
• Pre-placement physical exam required.
• Criminal background clearance is required.
• Random drug testing is conducted.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior
• Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations
• Assists students and other passengers
• Attends meetings, trainings, etc.
• Cleans assigned vehicles and conducts emergency evacuation drills
• Drives school bus(es)
• Fuels assigned vehicle
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Prepares documents and reports
• Reports observations and/or incidents
• Responds to inquiries
• Supervises students during transit
• Assists other personnel as may be required
