Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Student Transportation Operations Manager to lead daily facility operations, oversee drivers and staff, ensure safety, reliability and customer satisfaction. You will coordinate staffing, routing and training while maintaining clear communication with the Regional Manager and districts.

You will collaborate with school districts, manage payroll and month-end reporting, and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Bachelor’s Degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
• Three+ years in Student Transportation operations; safety/training or dispatch role preferred.
• CDL with P, S and air brake endorsements; able to pass a school bus physical within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct daily facility operations and assigned routes.
• Meet regularly with staff and drivers to communicate mission, values and updates.
• Engage with school districts to ensure satisfaction and identify service improvements.
• Coordinate driver recruitment and training for full route coverage and extras.
• Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance; enforce standards.
• Review payroll, AR/AP and month-end reporting as directed to meet budgets.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, leases and vendor agreements; manage reporting.
• Engage community to support recruiting and customer relations; explore new tech.
• Maintain credentials to drive school buses and step in when needed.
