Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Virginia Driver's License.
• Successful completion of auxiliary driver and bus attendant training course (training provided).
• Excellent driving record (at least +3 driving points).
• Minimum age of 21 at time of employment.
• Red Cross first aid and CPR certification within the first three months.

Responsibilities

• Operates a van to transport students to and from schools and activities.
• Drives routes, picks up and drops off students as scheduled.
• Performs pre-trip safety inspections and checks vehicle systems.
• Conducts post-trip inspections and ensures passengers' belongings are accounted for.
• Supervises student conduct and communicates concerns to school officials.
• Ensures vehicle is ready for maintenance and inspections; reports accidents promptly.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required in emergencies.
• Maintains Virginia driver's license and Red Cross first aid/CPR certification.
