Job summary

Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is partnering with a client to hire a Transportation Aide for North Kansas City and Liberty School Districts. You will assist students with loading, seating, and securing them for safe rides to and from school.

This role is part-time and onsite, demanding empathy, strong communication, and strict safety compliance. Opportunity to contribute to a caring community and support services for families and students.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete a company-sponsored Health Assessment.
• Must successfully complete a company-sponsored Physical Duties Assessment.
• Must pass a company-sponsored drug screening.
• Must pass a company-sponsored criminal background check.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to become certified within 30 days of employment.
• Genuine interest in working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students with loading and unloading from the vehicle.
• Ensure passengers are properly seated and secured using child restraints, seats, and belts.
• Assist with securing assistive devices as needed.
• Position yourself to observe all students and provide assistance.
• Monitor the safety and well-being of students during transportation.
• Support students with disabilities or behavioral needs.
• Ensure no passenger is left unattended in the vehicle.
• Support the driver during routine activities and emergencies.
• Facilitate safe evacuation of passengers in emergencies.
• Assist the driver when backing the vehicle.
• Learn routes and help substitute drivers with route information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior.
• Communicate professionally with students, drivers, families, and school staff.
• Follow safety guidelines and applicable transportation requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
